As proud members of the British Insurance Brokers Association, Uttings was founded in 1988 to offer local businesses insurance solutions that were backed by a wealth of expertise and a high level of service.

From the very beginning we've always believed in employing 'quality people', this approach gave the business the opportunity to expand and become a respected name in the local insurance community.

The idea was not just to sell an insurance policy but to get to know each client and his or her business individually, a philosophy which has ensured that clients acquired in the late 80s and early 90s remain clients today, with more joining all the time.

The business evolved in to Uttings Insurance Brokers in the year 2000, after Mark and Julie had the opportunity to purchase the firm; Mark having been a Director since 1998. Already working within the insurance sector, Mark's wife Julie immediately joined the business as Director and Company Secretary.

The business has continued to grow under Mark and Julie's leadership, and remains a well-known local name in the insurance world.
